In this interactive half-day workshop, participants will work through the Design Thinking framework and work on a pre-determined Challenge Statement set by the client.

Learning Objectives:

  • To learn and understand the concepts of Design Thinking

  •  To lean and apply Design Thinking in innovating solutions and strategies

  • To apply the Design Thinking tools to a Challenge Statement

Intro to Innovation & Design Thinking

  • Innovation in Singapore and across Asia – what’s holding us back?

  • Why is there a sudden need for design thinking and does it actually work?

  • Common problems faced trying to implement design thinking

  • Case studies of successful design thinking in your industry

Applying the Design Thinking Framework

This Challenge Statement can be pre-agreed with you e.g. “How do we solve current challenges in the workplace to better serve our users?”

  • Empathise: Who are your end clients and what are their needs? How to design and carry out interviews to create an Empathy Map

  • Define: Define what the user requirements are and create a problem statement. Generate insights and How Might We questions to narrow down areas to ideate.

  • Ideate: Brainstorm and ideate ideas to solve the identified problem. Apply brainstorming and voting techniques to come up with the most innovative solution to your problem statement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I choose a half-day or 1-day Innovation and Design Thinking workshop

It depends on how much time you have! Half-day workshops are popular if you'd like participants to gain exposure to Innovation and Design Thinking. Alternatively, our 1-day Innovation & Design Thinking Workshop are also very popular.

Q: What would be some examples of a challenge I could solve through your Ideation Sessions?

It really depends on our clients – some come to us because they are looking to innovate an existing product or service, some come to us to find solutions for overcoming much larger issues – such as an environmental concern.

Through applying a framework such as Design Thinking, we can guide participants through the process of problem solving and innovation, enabling and empowering them to think out of the box.
